How We Got Obama

I have heard some pundits say that without Reagan there wouldn’t have been an Obama. Since the rightward political shift culminating in the Reagan presidency caused the leftward political shift culminating in Obama. Does this mean without Carter there wouldn’t have been a Reagan? It would also imply that our next political move would be to the far right.

I believe that the Obama presidency is the result of the leftward cultural swing that really started in the 60’s. The people who were violent revolutionaries then have become ingrained in our foundations, universities and leftist political causes. Without their knowledge or foresight, the culture reached its apex and started its inevitable swing in the other direction. This occurred just recently, and I am not sure if she was cause or was in the right place at the right time, but Sarah Palin was the spark. I heard this phenomena once described as ‘the swing of the pendulum’, an apt description.

The left was terrified, their time was coming to an end. Despite Alinski, and even despite Sean Penn, the swing of the pendulum has started back in the other direction. They grabbed onto what they could and made one last grab for power. One last grab to make all the socialist changes they had been pining for. Obama was in the right place at the right time. Not only was he in the right place, but he is an incredibly effective communicator with a strong leftwing agenda, and the Republicans in control of the House have proved their ineffectiveness against this kind of mentality. How can you fight against this agenda, when your only agenda is staying in office.

The Republican goal should now be to stonewall anything and everything until Obama is gone. Not one of withdrawal and retreat, which will only lose us our culture and our country.
