Preamble
The establishment of the Republican
Party passed a resolution at the 2012 convention to take control from the
grassroots activists to the party establishment. The party then failed to
provide support during the Presidential election of 2012 to candidates
supported by the grassroots (Tea Party). In negotiations with liberals, Boehner than removed conservative TeaParty members of the House from important committee assignments.
It is thus essential that we, the
activists, leave the Republican Party and form a new political party, based on
the principles of the Founding Fathers and the Constitution of the United
States.
The name of this party shall be the Free Libertarian party.
Vision
Statement
The Free Libertarian Party shall be a
party formed by activists based upon principles of liberty and upholding the
principles of the Constitution. The party will be run by the grassroots not by
a party elite. We will also forge alliances with other political parties to
elect candidates that uphold our beliefs.
The Free Libertarian Party will radical
in approach to taking on the statists who run the country.
Mission Statement
The mission of the Free Libertarian Party
is to recruit and run candidates who promise to support libertarian values and
uphold the Constitution of the United States.
To forge alliances with other parties and candidates in order to advance
the libertarian agenda.
Morality is the basis of laws and a civil
society.
Without morality there can be no stable system of laws. Laws not based on morality would tend to be
situational depending on the needs of the time.
The foundation of morality is religion and ethics.
Example: Religions consider murder a crime, laws are
established with penalties for those who commit murder. Human life is normally considered precious
and we do whatever is necessary to keep someone alive, often without regard to
cost. Under Obamacare, the secular
statists may find that the financial trade off of keeping someone alive to be
onerous and the ‘death panels’ will encourage assisted suicide or withhold
treatment, they consider the control of human life more important than
maintaining it.
We assume that the morality of the Founding Fathers is good
and provides the foundation for our system of laws and civil society. We also believe in the freedom of the
individual to practice whatever religion they chose or not practice any
religion at all. Our government is guaranteed
to be separate from religion not free of its principles.
What is libertarianism?
Libertarianism is freedom, each individual is free to pursue
life, liberty, and happiness in whatever fashion they desire, but they are not
free to impinge on the freedom of others who are attempting to do the same.
Example: Murder is infringing on someone else’s
pursuit of freedom, therefore is wrong and is punishable according to the law.
How is the Free Libertarian Party different
from the Libertarian Party?
· Members of the Libertarian Party believe that
individual freedom translates to societal freedom.
Example:
Libertarians do not believe in getting involved in disputes outside our
borders. The theory behind this is that
as we are free to pursue our own liberty, other nations should be free to do
the same. This logic is fallacious, see
our essay ???.
Free libertarians believe that individual rights do not
translate into societal rights, a society is not the same as an individual.
· Libertarians believe that no laws are necessary
for the overall public good.
Libertarians believe there should be no laws regulating
food or drugs, but do not say the same thing about the environment, this is
inconsistent logic. The libertarians
consider that the statists have won the argument on the environment and so are
willing to give in on this issue, despite its being inconsistent with
libertarian logic.
Free libertarians believe that some laws regulating drugs
and some laws regulating the environment are necessary for the overall public welfare. Complete deregulation of drugs is not
beneficial for the society, few rational people would argue.
· Libertarians strictly adhere to their dogma,
voting libertarian and losing is more important than forming winning
coalitions. This philosophy has helped
elect our first Marxist President. Free
libertarians believe that winning some of what we believe is more important
than losing everything. See this press release issued by the Libertarian Party,
How is the Free Libertarian party different
from the Democratic Party?
· The Democratic Party has gotten hijacked by the
secular statists, who believe in strong central control of society and
individuals. This is the antithesis of
libertarianism.
How is the Free Libertarian Party different
from the Republican Party?
At the Republican National convention in 2012, the party
establishment passed resolutions giving them control over all party apparatus,
taking the party away from the activists.
In the subsequent general election, the party failed to support
candidates who had gotten elected by the activists in hopes that they would be
defeated.
·
The Republican Party is now solidly controlled
by the statist establishment within the party, not by activists.
The Republican establishment has become statist lite and
condescending of the hardcore statists in the Democrat Party.
